Composite Laminators Location: Dorset
Salary: £15.29–£16.87 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent

The Role We are recruiting Composite Laminators to join a busy manufacturing team producing a range of high-quality composite products.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with at least two years' laminating experience, ideally within the marine, aerospace or automotive industries. You'll be working with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail.

Wet lay and infusion experience are essential. Pre-preg experience would be an advantage, although training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out composite laminating and tooling using wet lay, infusion, vacuum bagging and other manufacturing processes.

Read and interpret lay-up drawings, specifications and work instructions.

Work with a variety of composite materials, including carbon fibre and glass fibre.

Follow manufacturing procedures and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.

Identify and report any defects, discrepancies or issues during production.

Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet specifications.

Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment.

Accurately record time spent on jobs and ensure production deadlines are met.

Contribute to improving manufacturing processes and efficiency.

Skills & Experience
A minimum of two years' experience in composite laminating.

Practical experience with wet lay and resin infusion.

Experience working in marine, aerospace, automotive or another quality-driven manufacturing environment.

Good attention to detail and the ability to produce work to a high standard.

Ability to follow technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing procedures.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A flexible approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Pre-preg experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings would be advantageous but are not essential.
