Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / Partner

A well–established and highly respected law firm in Reading is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or existing Partner to join and help drive the continued growth of its thriving property department.

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take the next step in their career, whether as an established Partner or a senior solicitor seeking a clear route to partnership. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and developing the residential property offering, managing a high–quality caseload and contributing to the strategic growth of the department.

The Role

You will be responsible for handling a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post–completion, while also assisting in the development of client relationships and business growth.

Matters will include:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Remortgages
• Transfers of equity
• New build transactions
• Shared ownership matters
• Buy–to–let transactions
• Help to Buy matters
• High–value residential property transactions
• Complex conveyancing matters

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of residential property matters independently.
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and referrers.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to junior team members where appropriate.
• Actively participate in business development and networking activities.
• Identify opportunities for departmental growth and revenue generation.
• Support the firm's strategic objectives and contribute to long–term business planning.

About You

Applications are encouraged from candidates who possess:

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive status.
• Significant experience handling residential conveyancing matters.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage complex transactions.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• A commercial and client–focused approach.
• Proven business development skills and relationship management experience.
• Existing following or referral network would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Ambition to progress into partnership or strengthen an existing leadership position.
