An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated Registered Nurse (RMNH, RGN, RNLD) to join our busy team in The Specialist Treatment Centre in New Craigs Hospital. You would be working as part of a highly motivated and encouraging team, who adopt a person centred approach to care, always aiming for a positive patient experience. The successful candidate will be motivated, demonstrate a commitment towards the continued development of patient focused care whilst fostering a therapeutic environment. This position would suit those who wish to extend and develop their skills and be part of an evolving service that recognises the diverse and complex needs of patients with both mental health and physical health complex needs. The candidate will be required to be able to undertake duties without direct supervision, supporting and supervising work undertaken by registered and unregistered nursing staff as well as taking charge in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse. The role will also be responsible for proactively promoting partnership working with patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies. Supervising the practice of others, undertaking mentorship/ preceptorship responsibilities and supporting the Senior Charge Nurse to ongoing learning and development of the staff team are important aspects of this role. The successful candidate would be an RMNH/RGN/RNLD registered with the NMC in the UK.

You will be able to demonstrate strong values, with good communication & team-working skills. An active interest in mental health would be advantageous.
