The Role

As a Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of additional learning needs, creating a positive and inclusive classroom where every child feels supported to succeed.

Working alongside Teaching Assistants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while helping them achieve their individual learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils' academic achievement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and assessments.
• Encourage independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

About You

We welcome applications from:

• Qualified Primary Teachers (QTS).
• Experienced SEND Teachers.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
• Mainstream Primary Teachers looking to develop a career in specialist education.
• Teachers with experience across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.

Previous experience within a SEND setting is beneficial but not essential. If you're an enthusiastic teacher with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
