We are currently recruiting for an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 11 male student within an Alternative Provision setting in South East London.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting students with SEMH
- Be confident managing challenging behaviour and dysregulation
- Have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Be patient, calm and consistent in their approach

- Understand how to support students with attention, working memory and communication difficulties
- Be confident breaking learning into manageable steps and providing appropriate prompts
- Support emotional regulation and help prevent situations from escalating

- Encourage independence rather than creating reliance on 1:1 support
- Have a relational and respectful approach

Experience in Alternative Provision, SEMH schools, specialist settings or similar environments would be highly desirable.
