Test Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Test Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- This role is a no travel role, you will be in Belfast;
- Exploring and evaluating features right through the development process, from inception to delivery (and beyond);
- Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process;
- Ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources;
- Negotiating the ongoing purpose and deliverables of the test effort;
- Assessing the progress and effectiveness of the test effort;
- Line managing a team of Test Engineers working across several products;
- Mentoring developers and testers on good testing practices;
- Advocating the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects.
Requirements:
- Test planning and execution;
- Negotiation skills;
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies;
- Automation knowledge beneficial;
- Strong knowledge of defect management process;
- You will have a proven track record for managing people;
- Ability to influence at all levels and maintaining a positive working culture;
- Clear and concise communication skills;
- Understanding of agile ways of working;
- Ideally a qualification such as ISEB;
- The ability to develop and support team members;
- Comprehensive experience with product system testing including electronics and software;
- Significant experience in technical product and system test;
- Mentoring and teaching skills;
- An eagerness to learn new tools and skills.
