7.5T Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a 7.5T Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure first class customer service is experienced at all times;
- Meet and where possible exceed customer expectations in the delivery and installation/fitting of their furniture;
- Ensure correct completion of tachographs in line with legislative and company policy/procedural requirements;
- Ensure all vehicles checks are performed at the start and at the end of each journey, reporting all defects as per the current procedure;
- Report any discrepancies to the Transport Supervisor as soon as they are identified;
- Drive the vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to road traffic regulations;
- Adhere to specified time restrictions given under current legislation;
- Ensure the vehicle is appropriately secured at all times;
- Complete all internal stock transfers in order to maximise vehicle utilisation;
- To drive within the EU drivers hours and Road Transport Working Time Regulations;
- Overtime and occasional night outs available;
- To fill out all paperwork accurately;
- To be reliable and customer focused;
- Candidates must have previous experience and excellent knowledge of LHR Cargo operations;
- Collecting and Delivering Freight to LHR Cargo sheds, Home Counties and throughout the UK.
Requirements:
- Outstanding communication skills targeted at handling customers face to face and over the phone;
- You MUST hold a valid Digital Tachograph card;
- You MUST have no more than 6 points on your licence;
- Full Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC);
- Exceptional time management, working to tight deadlines;
- You MUST hold a valid in date LGV HGV Class 2 licence or 7.5t;
- You cannot have any more than 6 points on your license;
- Have good written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent knowledge of the South East road network;
- Understanding of driver hours and regulations;
- Maximum of 3 endorsement points on licence – Due to insurance restraints;
- Driver CPC;
- Digital tacho card and full CPC;
- T Category C1 Driving License;
- You must have at least 1 years’ experience driving 7.5 Tonne vehicles within the UK.
