Experience and Qualifications
QTS with a Biology or Science specialism
Completed teaching placements at secondary level

This is a high-achieving, oversubscribed co-educational secondary school with approximately 1,250 students, including a thriving Sixth Form of 300 learners. The school is well known for its academic strength in STEM and provides an outstanding support structure for newly qualified teachers.
The Science department is one of the school’s flagship faculties, with modern laboratories, state-of-the-art practical equipment, and a culture that values inquiry, experimentation, and independent thinking. GCSE science outcomes are excellent, with 85% of students achieving grades 4–9 and a strong uptake of Biology at A-Level.
ECTs receive weekly mentoring, bespoke CPD, and clear progression routes, making it an ideal environment for an early-career teacher to thrive in a subject with strong student engagement.
