About Community Integrated Care
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.
Our charity was founded in 1988, and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.
Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.
We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
As a multi-award winning charity we ensure our colleagues and the people we support live the best lives possible. Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
We are interested in animals so enjoy going to the farm and going on walks spotting the squirrels and enjoy buses.
We like exploring our local community by going on the bus and enjoying taxi rides.
We like going into Nottingham, going to the farm, going to the cinema, looking in charity shops and going on the bus whist at home we like watching the soaps and movies along with painting and relaxing in the garden when the weather allows.
You will be trained in person centered care.
We have three colleagues on shift at a time working either, 7-10, 7-3 or 3-10, separately.
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience.
From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support.
Here at Community Integrated Care we aim to be a warm, welcoming and inclusive employer, where all colleagues feel they belong. We want to an organisation that is truly fair and equal to all – where individual diversity is valued, unique characteristics celebrated and everyone feels able to bring their true selves to work.
By encouraging and embracing a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, capabilities and viewpoints, we will build a stronger, richer, more vibrant workforce, which reflects the people we support, and the communities in which we work. It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.
This publicly sets out the promises we’ve made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. Community Integrated Care is an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.
In our 2025 Engagement Survey, 59% of colleagues ( nearly 3,800) shared their views, helping us achieve an Employee Net Promoter Score of +34 — a Very Good result against global benchmarks.
