We are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Residential Support Worker to join a dynamic service supporting both children and young people across multiple provisions. This includes a children’s residential home (ages 11-15) and supported accommodation services for young people aged 16-18.
The young people we support come from trauma backgrounds and may present with a range of emotional and behavioural challenges. Your role will be to provide consistent, trauma-informed care while promoting independence, stability and positive outcomes.

Provide high-quality care and support in both residential and supported accommodation settings
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours
- Encourage engagement in education, training or employment
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
Shift Patterns
- 9:00am - 11:00pm plus sleep-in
- Based on a 3-week rolling rota: approximately 7 x 24-hour shifts (including sleep-ins)
Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a professional and supportive manner
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people (residential care, schools, youth work, SEN, family support or similar)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Comprehensive training, including PRICE (Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment)
