St. George's British International School in Bilbao is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and skilful Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven successful experience as a classroom teacher.

• Strong knowledge of SEND best practice, the UK SEND Code of Practice, and evidence‑based intervention strategies.

• Experience coordinating provision for pupils with a range of SEND needs, including creating, implementing, and reviewing IEPs/EHCP targets.

• Ability to lead, support, and coach teachers and teaching assistants in inclusive practice and differentiation.

• Strong skills in assessment, progress tracking, and data analysis to monitor outcomes for pupils with SEND.

• Excellent communication skills, with experience building positive relationships with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals.

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, manage caseloads, maintain accurate records, and meet statutory deadlines.
