We are seeking to appoint an Admissions Assistant to join the Undergraduate Admissions Service at the University of Warwick.
Admissions Assistants play a key in supporting the recruitment and selection of undergraduate students. You will be responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient processing of applications, ensuring that all decisions are made in line with agreed criteria and institutional policies.
This is a fast-paced and varied where you will handle a high volume of applications, exercising judgement and attention to detail to assess qualifications, determine outcomes, and provide excellent customer service to prospective students.
Duties and responsibilities
• Reviewing and making decisions on a wide range of undergraduate applications, using established criteria
• Support with accurate management of admissions data and application records
• Maintaining compliance with external regulations and University policies
• Supporting the delivery of a high-quality admissions service
• Responding to admissions enquiries, communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders including:
• Applicants and their supporters
• Schools and colleges
• International agents
• Academic departments and professional services teams
You will support the University’s Confirmation and Clearing operation, which takes place during July and August. During this time, you will:
• Make decisions on applications using established criteria
• Input data on applicants and qualifications into the student records system
• Act as a main point of contact for applicants and their supporters, providing clear, accurate, and timely information
• Support applicants in making informed decisions about their next steps

• Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent)
• Able to master new areas of knowledge and skills rapidly
• Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
• Able to manage a high and varied workload
• An effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Calm and professional when working under pressure and able to deal sensitively with difficult conversations
• Able to work effectively with multiple IT systems
• Confident in making decisions using established criteria
• Able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders

• Experience of working in a university environment
• An understanding of the undergraduate admissions process
