The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a Telehandler Forklift Driver, with a valid Telescopic Handler licence, to work at our client's waste management site, based in Amesbury, Salisbury.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, people-friendly company, that have multiple sites and lots of internal opportunities for progression!
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Using a Telehandler to move and crane various waste material
- Moving mixed dry recyclables, bulky waste and general waste
- Loading waste onto conveyor belt for sorting
- Preparing waste for onward disposal at other sites
- General assistance in plant operations
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
A valid Telescopic Handler Forklift licence is essential to be considered for this role. Previous experience within a waste site or recycling plant is not essential, but would be highly advantageous. The postcode for this site is SP4 7RX, please ensure you are able to reliably commute before applying.
This is for an immediate start, with regular full-time work available. There is a possibility that the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30.
The starting pay rate is £15.00 per hour.
