GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are hiring committed Behaviour Support to join inclusive schools in Sheffield . This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs through positive intervention and consistent guidance. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to encourage positive choices, improve engagement, and create an environment where pupils feel supported to succeed. The Behaviour Support professional helps pupils develop positive behaviours, improve emotional resilience, and engage confidently with learning through structured support and effective mentoring. Behaviour Support Responsibilities: * Deliver personalised behaviour support that encourages pupils to achieve individual targets
* Build trusting relationships that promote confidence, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing
* Assist in creating a calm and structured classroom environment that supports learning
* Work alongside teachers to identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate interventions
* Encourage pupils to develop effective coping strategies and positive social behaviours
* Contribute to pupil support meetings by providing observations and progress updates Behaviour Support Requirements: * Experience supporting children or young people within education, care, mentoring, or youth services
* Understanding of behaviour management strategies and inclusive educational practice
* Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families
* Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
