Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term Do you have the patience and confidence to help young people manage challenges and make positive changes at school? GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for dedicated Behaviour Support staff to work in schools across Sheffield . We would like to hear from individuals who can build strong relationships with young people, understand the reasons behind challenging behaviour, and provide steady guidance that helps them stay engaged with learning. The Behaviour Support role focuses on creating a calm and structured environment where students can improve their behaviour, develop social skills, and take a more positive approach to school. Behaviour Support Responsibilities: * Build positive relationships with learners who require additional support
* Help students recognise triggers and find better ways to respond to difficult situations
* Provide clear expectations and consistent boundaries throughout the school day
* Encourage young people to remain involved in lessons and school activities
* Support individuals during challenging moments and help them settle back into learning
* Share observations with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain consistent support Behaviour Support Requirements: * Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
* Awareness of behaviour management and positive support methods
* Confidence handling difficult situations in a calm and respectful manner
* Good listening, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Reliable and consistent approach when supporting individual needs
