W Edinburgh is hiring a Reservations and Reception Agent to join the Beverage & Food team! We invite you to play an integral part in bringing to life this award-winning hotel, situated in the heart of Edinburgh. With W Edinburgh winning the coveted "Scottish Hotel of the Year 2025" award and entering the Forbes Travel Guide with a prestigious "Recommended" rating for 2026, now is the perfect time to join the team and take your career to the next level., Reporting to the Beverage & Food Operations Manager, you will be a key point of contact for our guests during their booking and arrival process when using any of our bars and restaurant. You will make them feel welcome, make and confirm reservations, give suggestions to enhance their time with us, and ensuring they have the best possible time whilst with us. Be expected to assist all guests wanting to ensure the best experience by checking availability, noting any special requests and requirements, and relaying all relevant information to appropriate teams. Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel's operations. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, a people-person and passionate! As Reservations and Reception Agent, key aspects of your role will include:
- Understanding and selling the products on offer of our bars and restaurant.
- Ensure guests are booked in according to the floor plan and availability.
- Communicate any important guest information to the relevant department and management team.
- Work as part of a wider team reception team across our bars and restaurant.
- Take responsibility for ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Make and confirm reservations via email and telephone.
- Use the hotel's restaurant reservations system to log and update reservations, ensuring all guest information is accurately recorded. Our ideal Reservations and Reception Agent is someone who has
- Confidence interacting with guests via telephone, email and chat services
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal English
- Multi-tasking skills and thrives in fast paced environments
- Previous experience in using restaurant reservations systems - experience with SevenRooms would be a plus.
