We are currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to work within secondary schools and specialist provisions across Huddersfield. The Role: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing. You will play a key role in helping students develop positive relationships, improve classroom participation, and achieve their full potential. Key responsibilities include: Providing one-to-one and small group behavioural supportSupporting students both inside and outside the classroomImplementing behaviour management strategies in line with school policiesBuilding positive and trusting relationships with studentsSupporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsAssisting with conflict resolution and emotional regulationWorking closely with teachers, pastoral teams, SENCOs, and safeguarding staffEncouraging attendance, engagement, and positive attitudes towards learningPromoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with young people
• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or additional needs (desirable)
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• The ability to remain professional in challenging situations
