Protocol Education is working closely with friendly and supportive primary schools across South Bristol who are looking for energetic, confident individuals with coaching backgrounds to join them as Teaching Assistants from September .
Your experience motivating children, building confidence, managing behaviour and creating engaging activities makes you an excellent fit for the classroom. Schools value sports coaches for their ability to encourage teamwork, resilience and positive attitudes, helping pupils succeed both academically and socially.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside class teachers to support learning, help pupils stay engaged and provide encouragement to children who may need extra guidance throughout the school day. You'll have the opportunity to use your coaching skills while gaining valuable experience in education and making a genuine difference to young people's lives.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 classrooms
- Working with small groups and individual children
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Encouraging teamwork, confidence and resilience

We're Looking For
- Sports coaches with relevant qualifications or coaching experience
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive behaviour management techniques
- Enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable individuals

What We Need to Clear You
- Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
- Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement)
- CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education, with any gaps explained
- References covering the last 2 years (including childcare references where applicable)
- Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more during the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
