Content and Communications Officer

Ipswich High School are seeking to appoint a creative, organised and digitally confident Content and Communications Officer to join our Marketing team. The role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with a preference for a minimum of four days per week

Located on an idyllic 87-acre campus on the banks of the River Orwell, Ipswich High School enjoys an enviable reputation of delivering outstanding academic results whilst maintaining a warm, welcoming and happy community of over 500 pupils, aged 3 – 18.

The Content and Communications Officer will play a key role in creating engaging, high-quality content that brings the School’s story to life and supports its reputation, pupil recruitment and wider community engagement.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is creative, curious and full of ideas

• Has a strong visual eye and understands what makes content engaging

• Is proactive and confident in identifying stories and content opportunities

• Understands how audiences consume content across different digital channels

• Can balance creativity with accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail

• Is comfortable working at pace and responding to changing priorities

• Is confident building positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and other members of the School community

• Is enthusiastic about the School and able to communicate its character, values and achievements authentically

• Takes pride in producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines
