We're looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Apprentice to join our Halesowen headquarters, gaining hands-on experience, developing key skills, and working towards a qualification in a supportive team environment.

£17,056 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Receiving incoming goods and booking stock into the warehouse system
• Organising and shelving stock in the correct warehouse locations
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory counts
• Maintaining high standards of warehouse housekeeping and safety
• Working closely with colleagues and departments across the business
• Supporting the wider warehouse team with a variety of day-to-day tasks
• Assisting with deliveries and transportation activities when required
• Learning warehouse processes, systems and best practices as part of your apprenticeship
• Developing strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment

• Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
• Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
• Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
• Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
• Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
• support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
• Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
• Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
• Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
• Carry out and record learning and development activities.
