Five Education is looking for an experienced SENCO to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead and develop SEND provision, ensuring every pupil with additional needs receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the leadership team, leading the strategic development and day-to-day delivery of SEND provision across the school. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to coordinate effective support for pupils with a range of needs, while promoting an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Main responsibilities:
- Oversee EHCPs, provision mapping, and the graduated approach to SEND across the school.
- Monitor the impact of interventions and use data to drive positive outcomes for pupils.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to colleagues to promote high-quality, inclusive practice.
- Lead and support Teaching Assistants, work closely with external agencies, and help secure appropriate resources and funding for pupils with SEND. Essential requirements: Right to work in the UK - we are unable to offer Sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas. Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years). Hold a current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one* *Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70.
