The post holder will work collaboratively with the consultant team and will cover general paediatrics and neonatal ward rounds, general paediatrics clinic and will take part in the on-call rota in General Paediatrics and Neonates. The successful candidate will join a team of 16 Paediatric Consultants who share General Paediatric and neonatal work. There are also 4 SAS doctors, 4 Tier 2 Paediatric STs, 7 Tier 1 doctors, 2 CANPs and 2 Physician Associates on the acute paediatric rota in addition to Clinical Nurse Specialist for Epilepsy, Asthma and Diabetes and Cardiology. Routine educational activities include weekly junior doctor teaching programme in addition to Quality meetings, Child Protection Peer review and Neonatal Mortality & Morbidity meetings run as part of the monthly programme.
