A Teaching Assistant is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in South East London.

This Teaching Assistant position will be full time and long term with scope to go permanent.

Working hours for this Teaching Assistant post will be 8am to 4pm with a 1 hour unpaid break.

Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:

• Supporting SEN and LAP students in group or whole class intervention sessions
• Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
• Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required
• Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
• Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed

The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £99.75 and £116.55 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

A Coeducational Academy School for pupils aged 11 to 16, located in the London Borough of Lewisham.

The site is well equipped with art studios, an astro turf pitch, drama/dance studios, DT workshops, ICT suites, music studios, science labs and sports halls.

The schools holds Arts College Status.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you're a recent Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.

You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.

• Right to work in the UK
• Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
• UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
• Experience of working with children/teenagers/young people or as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
