Science ECT - Colchester
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and academically capable Science ECT to join an Outstanding secondary school in Colchester from January . This role is ideal for a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to develop strong classroom practice within a well-established and supportive Science department.
You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3–KS4 , supported by a comprehensive ECT programme that includes reduced teaching load, weekly mentoring, structured CPD and regular opportunities for observation and feedback.

This high-performing 11–18 school is recognised for outstanding behaviour, strong leadership and a positive staff culture. The Science department is well resourced, offering modern laboratories, specialist equipment and experienced technician support. ECTs are encouraged, supported and given the tools to succeed from the outset.
Experience and Qualifications
Degree in a Science discipline
PGCE with QTS
Ability to teach Science to KS3–KS4
Good subject knowledge and enthusiasm for practical science
Strong commitment to professional development and student progress
Salary
Paid to scale in line with MPS1 .
