Art ECT - Colchester
A dynamic and well-respected secondary school in Colchester is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Art ECT to join their growing department for an immediate start . This role provides an exceptional platform for a new teacher to develop professionally within a supportive, high-performing school.
About the Role
You will teach Art to KS3 and KS4 , helping students to build confidence, refine technique, and develop independent creative thinking. You will also support GCSE assessment, internal moderation, and exhibition work. The department strongly encourages creative exploration, risk-taking, and individual artistic identity.
You will be supported with:
A structured ECT induction programme
Regular mentor meetings
Shared planning and assessment resources
Opportunities to observe experienced teachers

Requirements
QTS or pending QTS in Art
Strong subject knowledge and practical confidence
Professional, reflective approach to teaching
Enthusiasm for creative education
Salary
MPS1–MPS2.
