The Role

• Permanent, full-time Second in Science position

• Start date: January 2026

• Teach Science across KS3–KS4 with the opportunity to specialise at KS5

• Support the Head of Science with curriculum planning, assessment, and staff development

• Play a key role in raising attainment, driving innovation, and maintaining the department’s outstanding reputation

• Contribute to extra-curricular provision, including STEM clubs and academic enrichment

What We’re Looking For

• QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

• Proven record of excellent classroom practice and student outcomes

• Experience contributing to curriculum design and supporting colleagues

• Strong leadership potential, with the ability to inspire both students and staff

• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

• Commitment to raising standards and fostering a love of Science
