Permanent, Full Time (36.66 hours per week), Term Time  + 1 week (39 weeks per year). To commence ASAP

Salary: Pro-rata of Points 19-22 of the Schools Support Staff pay scale £32,061 - £33,699. Actual salary (£28,008 - £29,439) per annum.

The Role:

The successful candidates will work within the Hearing Resource Centre, a successful and thriving specialist resource provision for deaf students located within a mainstream secondary school. The post will involve supporting students with hearing and communication needs, alongside additional needs, both within mainstream classes and also in the Hearing Resource Centre, to ensure full access to the curriculum through the use of a range of communication modes, including speech and/or sign language.

The report highlights that “students behave well. Leaders have put in place clear routines… Learning typically continues without disruptions. Attitudes to learning are largely positive”. Inspectors also recognised our inclusive ethos, stating that” This is a community where students experience a positive sense of belonging” . These findings reflect the commitment of our staff, leaders and students to creating a calm, respectful and supportive learning environment, alongside our continued focus on securing the very best  outcomes for all our young people.
