Graduate Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)

This Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology or another education-related profession who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience. The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support pupils across a range of year groups and abilities. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant , you will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant: * Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom. * Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. * Delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of the class teacher. * Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation. * Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs where required. * Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement. * Encouraging pupil confidence, independence and participation. * Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. The Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant Will: * Hold a degree in any subject. * Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in education. * Have previous experience working with children or young people (desirable). * Be enthusiastic, patient and adaptable. * Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply). * Have a fully checkable work history.
