Senior Business Development Manager – TMT/IP

A leading global law firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Business Development & Marketing team, supporting its Technology, Media, Telecommunications and Intellectual Property practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BD professional to develop strategic growth plans, identify new business opportunities and work closely with partners and lawyers across an international platform.

The Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of strategic business development plans, driving growth across key TMT/IP practice areas.

Develop client targeting strategies and identify opportunities for cross-practice collaboration and profitable revenue growth.

Lead strategic pitches, panel submissions and client pursuits, developing compelling win strategies and value propositions.

Work closely with client and sector BD teams to deliver targeted go-to-market campaigns and strengthen relationships with priority clients.

Use market intelligence, data and technology to identify opportunities, manage pipelines and inform strategic business development decisions.

Build strong relationships with partners, lawyers and BD & Marketing colleagues across international teams, supporting global initiatives and best practice.

Lead, coach and develop a high-performing BD team, fostering a collaborative culture and supporting continuous professional development.

The Candidate

Significant business development experience within a professional services environment, ideally with experience supporting Technology, Media, Telecommunications and/or Intellectual Property practices.

Strong commercial awareness and strategic planning skills, with proven experience delivering BD strategies, pitches, client pursuits and initiatives that drive sustainable growth.

Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, work collaboratively across international teams and use data and market intelligence to identify commercial opportunities.
