Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join a leading housing organisation, providing advice and support across a varied and complex ER caseload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload covering disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance and absence matters
- Provide clear and practical ER advice to managers
- Support workplace investigations, hearings, meetings and appeals
- Advise on processes, evidence, timescales and potential risks
- Work closely with managers, People & Culture teams and trade union representatives
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation
- Support early resolution through informal conversations, mediation and agreed action plans
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations, HR Advisory or HR Casework role
- Strong experience managing complex ER cases
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and the ACAS Code
- Experience advising managers on sensitive people matters
- Experience working with trade unions or employee representatives
- Strong investigation, analytical and report-writing skills
- Understanding of disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence processes
- Knowledge of the Equality Act and reasonable adjustments
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
- Experience within social housing, public sector or another regulated environment would be beneficial
