We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND Deaf School in Wandsworth. This rewarding role involves supporting deaf pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide classroom and one-to-one support for deaf pupils with additional SEND needs.
- Use British Sign Language (BSL) effectively to communicate with students and support their learning.
- Assist pupils with Autism, SEMH, and other complex needs both academically and emotionally.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social development.
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
- Monitor and record student progress where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Holds a recognised British Sign Language (BSL) qualification (Level 2 or above preferred).
- Has experience working with deaf children and young people.
- Has previous experience supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH, or other Special Educational Needs .
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Competitive daily rate of £108.35 per day .
