We are looking for an Admin Assistant to join a small team based at the lead organisation in Cambridge University Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
1. To process medical reports, upload and send out to the appropriate areas
2. To receive goods and supplies ensuring relevant staff are informed of the arrival of deliveries
3. Prompt and accurate filing of reports and correspondence, and assist with maintenance of the departmental filing systems
4. To receive and process internal and external post/emails
5. To liaise with colleagues, both immediate and departmental, to ensure accurate and timely flows of relevant information
6. To attend all relevant meetings and be an active team member
7. To use existing skills and knowledge in the use of all relevant Information Technology systems in the department including electronic patient records
8. A willingness to develop existing IT skills
9. To use procurement systems to order and receipt supplies and other goods
10. To work in a safe manner at all times in line with Trust policies, and reporting issues appropriately
11. To be aware of and utilise risk reporting systems in the Trust where relevant
12. To be aware of and utilise quality management systems within the department
13. To actively share ideas and innovations for improvements to the efficient and effective delivery of the service
14. To plan and organise daily tasks to ensure work produced is of the quality and quantity required to meet expected standards.
15. To organise meetings, take accurate minutes of meetings.
16. To organise travel arrangements for senior members of staff
