Full-time Live-in Housekeeper / Nanny in Hampshire, UK

Live-in Housekeeper / Nanny – Hampshire – £50k per annum

Job Ref: 121242
Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom (family also has a home in London)
Salary: £50k per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7.00am–7.00pm, with flexibility around the family's needs and the children's school hours
Accommodation: Provided
Start: ASAP

A warm and welcoming family is looking for an experienced, reliable and practical Live-in Housekeeper/Nanny to join their household in Hampshire. This is an opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys being part of a family home and takes pride in creating a well-run, organised and comfortable environment. Housekeeping is the primary focus of the role, with childcare support forming an important part of the position around the children's school and family schedule. The family is looking for someone who values the relationship they build with the household as much as the practical responsibilities of the role. The right person will be resilient, flexible, hands-on and happy to pitch in wherever needed.

The family consists of a single mother and her two school-aged children, aged 8 and 13. The children are at school approximately 7.30am–6.00pm, meaning the role is predominantly focused on housekeeping during school hours, with childcare support before and after school as required. The family also has a home in London which they visit regularly.

There is currently a housekeeper who has supported the family intermittently for around 10 years. She has been a much-valued member of the household, but the family is now looking ahead to finding someone who can offer more regular, long-term support – particularly if the family relocates overseas. If you are an experienced Housekeeper/Nanny looking for a long-term live-in position with a friendly family, and would be open to a future move to France or Monaco, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping and cleaning of the family home
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Keeping the household organised and running smoothly
• General household duties and errands
• Preparing simple family meals when required
• Supporting with the children before and after school
• Helping with school routines and general childcare as needed
• Being flexible and willing to assist wherever required
• Travelling with the family during school holidays, as needed

Housekeeping experience is essential, and the ideal candidate will be someone who is naturally organised, practical and takes pride in their work.

Location & Travel

The role is currently based in Hampshire. The family may potentially relocate to France/Monaco, so someone who is open to relocating with the family would be highly desirable. An Italian or French passport would be advantageous for future relocation and travel requirements. A driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in private-household housekeeping
• Warm, friendly and personable
• Practical and hands-on
• Resilient and adaptable
• Naturally organised and takes pride in their work
• Comfortable working independently
• Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
• Experienced with school-aged children
• Happy to travel with a family during the holidays
• Looking for a long-term position and a strong relationship with the family

Unless otherwise specified, a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
