A multi-national software business based in Oxford is looking to appoint an EMEA VAT Specialist to replace someone who has recently been promoted to a Senior VAT Manager. This is an exceptionally rare opportunity in the region for someone making their first or second move in industry, or for someone looking to make the first move in-house.
The business works very closely with a number of leading brands within the UK and is going through a very exciting expansion plan over the next 12 months. You will be joining a small team of 5 who work very closely and collaboratively, so inter-personal skills are an absolute must.
Responsibilities:
- Taking control of cross-border VAT transactions within the wider group
- Preparation of VAT returns on an International basis
- Manage the VAT compliance process for UK and Europe, inclusive of reviewing VAT computations produced by the VAT accountant (your direct report)
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA or other relevant qualification is desired, with in-house experience preferable
- Excellent breadth of European VAT experience, with an understanding of EU regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong inter-personal skills building strong relationships with C-Suite executives and the further finance team
- Career driven, organised with a real ‘can-do’ attitude
