Abbott seeks a Senior Team Manager for Analytical Chemistry at its Witney manufacturing site. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop analytical chemistry laboratory team including analysts, scientists, and supervisors
- Ensure timely execution of product release, stability, and investigative testing with regulatory compliance
- Serve as analytical chemistry subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on HPLC, dissolution, and method troubleshooting
- Manage resource planning, KPIs, and operational excellence to support current and future growth
- Develop laboratory capability strategies and lead modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline
- Significant experience leading teams in GMP-regulated analytical laboratories
- Strong technical expertise in HPLC, dissolution testing, and analytical chemistry techniques
- Experience with analytical method validation, transfer, and lifecycle management
- Deep understanding of GMP, data integrity, and regulated laboratory environments
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
