About the Role
Do you have a background in health, education, or social care? Your professional skills could give a vulnerable child the stable, trauma-informed support they urgently need.
Whether you want to offer weekend respite that fits right alongside your current career, or step in for short breaks, emergency, and short-term or long-term placements, you can provide the stable, trauma-informed support a vulnerable child urgently needs.
As a Foster Carer, you will:We work with clients who offer flexible ways to foster that match your current career and lifestyle commitments:
- Full-Time & Specialist Therapeutic Placements: Provide dedicated, long-term care and intensive trauma-informed support for children with complex needs.
- Short-Term & Emergency Care: Offer immediate, temporary safe housing for children in urgent situations.
- Weekend Respite Care: Provide short-break support on weekends-allowing you to fit fostering seamlessly around your current career.
- Financial Package: Receive a weekly payment of £490-£1055 to cover the costs of caring and recognise your professional skillset.
- Specialist Training: Access fully funded, continuous professional development in trauma-informed care and clinical practices.
- Clinical & Psychological Support: Work alongside a dedicated team of therapists and social care professionals.
- 24/7 Guidance: Benefit from a round-the-clock emergency advice line so you are never left to handle challenges alone.
Key Requirements
- Age: 21 or older
- Home: A suitable, permanent spare bedroom in your home
- Residency: Full-time UK residency (or indefinite leave to remain)
- Background: Prior experience in health, social care, education, nursing, youth work, or a related field is highly desirable.
