What you'll be doing No two days are ever quite the same, but you'll spend your time: Supporting pupils with hearing impairments on a one-to-one basis and in small groupsUsing British Sign Language (BSL) to support communication throughout the school dayHelping pupils take part in lessons and classroom activities with confidenceEncouraging independence, social development and positive relationshipsWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionalsCreating a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can flourish What we're looking for You'll be a great fit if you have: BSL Level 3 qualification or above (preferred)Experience working with children or young people in education or care settingsExperience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, hearing impairments or additional needsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, calm and nurturing approachThe ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues Experience in any of the following roles would be highly beneficial: BSL Teaching AssistantSEN Teaching AssistantSEND Teaching AssistantLearning Support AssistantCommunication Support WorkerHearing Impairment Support AssistantClassroom Support Assistant Why choose Protocol Education?
