A well-established secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking an organised, professional and reliable School Administrator to join its administration team.
This is a varied role providing day-to-day administrative support across the school. The successful candidate will work with senior leaders, teaching staff, students, parents, carers and visitors, helping ensure that communication, records and administrative processes are handled efficiently.
The school is looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy environment and can manage competing priorities without compromising accuracy. You should be approachable and professional, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to take initiative when required.
Previous school administration experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong transferable experience from another professional administrative environment are encouraged to apply.

Administration Team
The School Administrator will provide support across a range of school office functions. You will act as a point of contact for parents, carers and visitors, respond to enquiries and assist colleagues with administrative tasks.
You will also maintain records, prepare documents, update databases and support meetings and school activities. The workload can change throughout the day, so you will need to be adaptable and able to prioritise effectively.
A professional manner is essential because the successful candidate will represent the school when dealing with families and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities
Providing efficient administrative support across the school.
Acting as a professional first point of contact for parents, carers and visitors.
Answering telephone calls and dealing with enquiries.
Responding to emails and correspondence.
Welcoming visitors and following school safeguarding procedures.
Maintaining accurate student and administrative records.
Updating school databases and information systems.
Preparing letters, forms, documents and reports.
Supporting senior leaders and teaching staff with administration.
Organising meetings, appointments and associated paperwork.
Supporting admissions and student record administration.
Assisting with attendance-related administration where required.
Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
Preparing information for meetings and internal processes.
Communicating with parents and carers professionally.
Liaising with external organisations when required.
Monitoring incoming correspondence.
Ensuring information reaches the appropriate member of staff.
Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Supporting school events and activities.
Assisting with general office organisation.
Managing administrative deadlines effectively.
Supporting colleagues during particularly busy periods.
Identifying administrative issues and raising them appropriately.
Following school procedures relating to data protection and confidentiality.
Contributing positively to the wider administration function.
Experience and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous administrative, reception, school office or customer-service experience. Previous work within education would be beneficial but is not essential.
The successful candidate must have excellent organisation and attention to detail. You will be handling important student information and must therefore be accurate and methodical.
You will also need strong communication skills and the ability to remain professional when dealing with parents, students and visitors.
