Location: Flexible working, with travel across Oxford, Birmingham, London, Liverpool and Manchester offices
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Apprenticeship Manager , offering flexible working with travel across our UK office network.

Join our vibrant and inclusive Early Careers team and help shape apprenticeship opportunities across Amey. You will manage the development and delivery of our apprenticeship programmes, ensuring they support our people strategy, strengthen organisational capability and respond to the evolving needs of the business.

This is an influential role where you will work closely with business units, Learning and Development partners, Early Careers Recruitment teams and external training providers. You will help Amey make effective use of apprenticeship funding while providing an excellent experience for apprentices, graduates and the managers who support them.

What you will do

• Manage the governance and continuous improvement of Amey’s Early Careers framework, ensuring it remains effective, understood and aligned with business needs.
• Oversee key elements of the apprenticeship, graduate and placement student journey, from workforce planning and onboarding through to development and programme completion.
• Act as Amey’s apprenticeship expert, advising colleagues across the UK and Ireland on suitable programmes, funding requirements and development opportunities.
• Manage the selection of apprenticeship training providers and build productive relationships with providers and other key external stakeholders.
• Partner with business units and Learning and Development teams to maximise opportunities for both recruited and professional-development apprentices.
• Monitor programme performance, compliance and Growth and Skills Levy utilisation, providing clear insight that supports decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Track changes to the apprenticeship funding landscape and communicate relevant risks, opportunities and requirements to the business.
• Manage and support Early Careers Advisors while championing an excellent experience for Amey’s Early Careers community.

What you will bring

Essential

• Strong experience in a large organisation within an Early Careers function with a focus on apprenticeships.
• Practical knowledge of apprenticeship funding, levy processes and funding rules.
• An understanding of the different apprenticeship funding arrangements across the UK nations and Ireland.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to advise and influence employees, people managers and senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex information and data into clear, practical insight.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Desirable

• Experience of working with the Apprenticeship Service and external apprenticeship training providers.
• Experience of managing or supporting colleagues within an Early Careers environment.
