Teaching Assistant

First Class Supply are looking for qualified Teaching Assistants to work within various Gateshead schools on day to day placements - long term assignments are also available.

Your duties will be to assist the class teacher with activities, give additional support to small groups or pupils on a one to one basis. Your numeracy and literacy skills must be of a good standard as you will be helping pupils with reading, writing and mathematics.

The successful applicant will:

• Hold NVQ level 2 or the equivalent in a relevant child care qualification
• Be committed to making a real difference to the lives of pupils
• Have experience of working within a school
• Be able to work at short notice
• Willing to travel throughout Gateshead 

Please note that the pay rate will depend of the level of experience and qualification achieved by the post holder.
