What you will do:

Attend all calls as requested and directed by the call centre.
Conduct clinical assessments and deliver high standards of care to detained patients, assessing their fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
Provide healthcare interventions for minor ailments or injuries and refer cases that require more serious attention.
Perform forensic examinations of individuals in police care, documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence where necessary.
Examine police officers or staff injured on duty, offering appropriate management and documentation of injuries.
Collect specimens as required by legislation, ensuring compliance with procedures.
Operate within the scope of PACE legislation Code C, maintaining professional standards.
Prepare written statements within 7-10 days upon request and give oral testimony in court or tribunals as necessary.
Maintain complete and accurate clinical records that are accessible even after your contract ends.
Conduct assessments for alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal.
Undertake Mental Health and Learning Disability assessments as needed.
Collaborate with the Clinical Lead to enhance medical services.
Fulfil duties as a Forensic Clinician in custody and maintain clinical skills and competencies.
