Pay: £170-£223 per day (MPS, depending on experience)

A welcoming and supportive specialist SEN school in Gorton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher or a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialist education setting.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Working closely with a skilled team of teaching assistants, therapists, and wider professionals, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can develop and achieve their potential.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that support the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, the SENCO, and external professionals to support pupil development.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
Promote positive behaviour through consistent, supportive, and personalised strategies.
Implement EHCP targets and contribute to individual learning plans.
Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching pupils with SEND or a strong interest in specialist education.
Has a good understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
Is confident in classroom and behaviour management.
Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
Has the right to work in the UK and is available for a full-time role.
Experience working within a specialist SEN school.
Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs.
Experience delivering personalised learning plans and working towards EHCP outcomes.
Team Teach or other positive behaviour support training.
