Pay: £170-£223 per day (MPS, depending on experience)
Start date: September 2026
Expected End date: End of the 2026/27 academic year (long-term ongoing)

A welcoming and supportive specialist SEN school in Gorton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher or a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialist education setting.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Working closely with a skilled team of teaching assistants, therapists, and wider professionals, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can develop and achieve their potential.

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that support the individual needs of pupils with SEND.

• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, the SENCO, and external professionals to support pupil development.

• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.

• Promote positive behaviour through consistent, supportive, and personalised strategies.

• Implement EHCP targets and contribute to individual learning plans.

• Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Has experience teaching pupils with SEND or a strong interest in specialist education.

• Has a good understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.

• Is confident in classroom and behaviour management.

• Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil succeed.

• Has the right to work in the UK and is available for a full-time role.

• Experience working within a specialist SEN school.

• Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs.

• Experience delivering personalised learning plans and working towards EHCP outcomes.

• Team Teach or other positive behaviour support training.
