Job Introduction
Residential Youth Practitioner Move On Homes
Be the person who believes in a young person before they believe in themselves.
Some young people need more than support—they need someone in their corner. Someone who encourages them, challenges them and helps them discover what they're capable of.
In this rewarding role, you will work alongside young people aged 16–18 in a supported accommodation setting, supporting them to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to successfully transition into adulthood. From helping young people access education, employment and training opportunities, to providing learning for practical life skills and emotional support, you will play a vital role in helping them achieve their aspirations. Working within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework, you will build positive relationships, promote wellbeing, safeguard vulnerable young people, and celebrate their successes every step of the way.
This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to inspire change, offer hope and make every conversation count. If you're passionate about empowering young people and want a role where your impact is visible every single day, we'd love to hear from you.
We have 2 part time roles one based at Moorland House (Witney) and one at Maytree House (Didcot) Please express your preference on your application.
This position is shift work on a rota basis including sleep-in shifts as part of the role, weekend working, a mixture of day and evening shifts. Shift patterns may vary to meet the needs of the service. Enhancements are paid for sleep in shifts.
