About the Role
We are looking for compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs in our Sheffield schools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist the class teacher with planning and classroom activities
- Use strategies tailored to individual pupil needs
- Support social, emotional and behavioural development
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, etc.)
- Patience, resilience and strong communication skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
