Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Social Media - drafting, scheduling and monitoring content especially in relation to enterprises
• Create and develop effective organic and paid social media campaigns
• Produce monthly analytic reports using social media analytics and evaluate ROI (return on investment) on paid social media campaigns
• Maintain broad knowledge of QAC learner and client programmes and provisions
• Maintain good knowledge of QAC enterprises
• Ensure information on the charity website and social media is aligned to the marketing strategy
• Generate and edit digital content such as videos, photographs and text for publication for website, social media and marketing material
• Design and create artwork for website, social media content and marketing material
• Support the marketing team in the creation of materials, marketing and delivery of events such as Sight Village, College Open Days etc.
• Respond to enquiries from potential learners/families/professionals
• Contribute to the wider remit of marketing as required
• Help build the charity newsletter
• Adhere to the charity’s acceptable use of IT policies at all time
• To provide efficient administrative support to the marketing team
• To support the marketing and communications team in a variety of projects, marketing campaigns, advertising and publicity
• Flexibility to work out of hours required (including occasional evening and weekend work). Time off in lieu is used in these cases (TOIL)
• To contribute to the general running of the marketing and communications office and to support other colleagues as and when required

Other Duties:

QAC employees may be expected to undertake designated emergency response duties as part of their role. This includes:

• Receiving appropriate training, instruction and information to carry out emergency procedures safely and effectively
• Responding to emergency situations in line with organisational policies and procedures
• Supporting the organisation’s compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation

The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to enable the efficient and effective running of the Charity.

What you'll learn

• Coordinate and maintain key marketing channels (both digital and offline)
• Plan and deliver tactical campaigns against SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound) objectives
• Manage the production and distribution of marketing materials, e.g. digital, print and video content as appropriate
• Produce a wide range of creative and effective communications, including ability to write and proofread clear and innovative copy, project briefs, and give confident presentations
• Able to engage and collaborate with a wide range of clients/stakeholders, across departments internally and with clients/suppliers externally to support marketing outcomes as required
• Use good project and time management to deliver projects/tasks/events as appropriate, effectively. Including the ability to divide time effectively between reporting, planning and delivery
• Coordinate several marketing campaigns/projects/events to agreed deadlines
• Effectively liaise with, and manage, internal and external stakeholders including suppliers to deliver required outcomes
• Monitor project budgets within their scope of work using appropriate systems and controls
• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by choosing the appropriate digital and offline data sources
• Assimilate and analyse data and information from a range of sources to support marketing activities
• Evaluate data and research findings to derive insights to support improvements to future campaigns
• Effectively use appropriate business systems and software to deliver marketing outcomes efficiently, for example to analyse data, produce reports and deliver copy
• Use appropriate technologies to deliver marketing outcomes e.g. digital/web analytics, social media, CRM

Training schedule

Marketing Executive Level 4.

The apprentice will be allocated with an assessor who will visit them within the workplace once every 6-8 weeks. 

In addition the apprentice will be required to attend regular online lessons.

The apprentice will be expected to complete 6 hours off the job each week.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

• English (grade C/4)
• Maths (grade C/4)

Desirable qualifications

Any Level 3 in:

Any (grade PASS)

Marketing Level 3 in:

Marketing (grade PASS)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

As this is a Level 4 position, applicants must have a level 3 qualification or experience within Marketing.
