Our company is looking for a Assistant Procurement Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Global Procurement Manager with reviewing supplier prices and services to ensure the business receives best value for money;
  • Liaising with Suppliers to find out price and availability for new customer demands;
  • To be responsible for requesting Accounts to make Proforma payments for Suppliers;
  • To create the weekly purchasing report within SAP to create suggested purchase orders for approval;
  • To liaise with suppliers regarding end to end fulfilment of purchase orders;
  • To create supporting documentation to be sent with the purchase orders including carton labels, barcodes and obtain pre-production samples;
  • Assist with entering stock control checks on a yearly basis and as required;
  • Update product availability dates in the system to enable Customer Service to provide current dates to our customers;
  • Order all stationary/consumables for the office and warehouse;
  • Assist with carrying out forecasting to manage stock levels against the production usage reports and make recommendations to improve processes;
  • Liaise with 3rd party warehouse regarding receiving in of deliveries;
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping companies regarding costs;
  • To produce back to back order reports for customers to advise on stock levels;
  • To create back to back purchase orders and send once approved;
  • Liaise with Key Account Managers to determine product needs.

  • Proficient with Microsoft packages and electronic CRM systems;
  • Ability to multi- task, prioritise and manage time effectively and efficiently;
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding;
  • People person with excellent listening and interpersonal/communication skills;
  • Experienced within a purchasing/planning role;
  • Analysis and problem-solving.
