Night Auditor

Night Auditor oversees and coordinates front office operations during the hotel overnight shift. Reconciles all hotel cashier transactions, ensures the accuracy of folio billing, posts revenue to appropriate accounts, and compiles various management reports. Being a Night Auditor checks guests in and out, answers front desk telephone and resolves guest service and billing issues as needed. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Night Auditor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Night Auditor works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Night Auditor typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

Our company is looking for a Night Auditor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Night Manager with security and in emergency situations;
  • Conducting efficient check out in line with brand standards;
  • Ensuring friendly welcome and check-in in line with brand standards;
  • To provide a warm, welcoming and friendly environment;
  • Preparing Night Audit report and complete night audit process;
  • Integral in ensuring the security of guests and employees in the hotel at night;
  • Management of guest arrivals and departures;
  • Telephone handling;
  • All other duties as directed;
  • Luggage assistance;
  • Profession handling of guest enquiries and queries;
  • To provide guests with information and assistance as required;
  • Cashiering duties;
  • Offering a great first impression to all guests on arrival in the hotel;
  • Reconciliation of payments, revenue streams & closing of business date, and the completion of all other Night Audit procedures.

Requirements:

  • Keen to work night shifts;
  • Experience and knowledge of Opera or a Front Office system preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills with confident manner;
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred;
  • Good team player with a flexible “can do” approach;
  • Highly motivated, dedicated and reliable.
