Projects Procurement Executive Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Projects Procurement Executive to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong sustainable relationships with suppliers;
- Take responsibility for managing multiple projects and spend categories between £100k – £500k;
- Place orders through the system in conjunction with the planned production programme and operations;
- Ensure the smooth running of procurement activities associated with projects;
- Ensure that all materials are in the right place at the right time – taking a lead on ensuring deliveries and logistics are planned accordingly;
- Attend projects meetings on a weekly basis to provide a clear, concise update on your area of work for each project.
Requirements:
- Experience of using SAP or similar;
- An eye for detail and efficiency;
- Experience in a purchasing/procurement role in a manufacturing/engineering/construction environment;
- Positive can do attitude and ability to work on own initiative;
- Ability to work to project deadlines, understanding urgency and changing customer needs;
- Strong project management skills (Ideally Prince 2 or PMP qualified);
- Ability to negotiate and build relationships with multiple stakeholders (including suppliers and customers);
- Experience of working in a fast paced,project based environment.
