Projects Procurement Executive Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Projects Procurement Executive to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong sustainable relationships with suppliers;
  • Take responsibility for managing multiple projects and spend categories between £100k – £500k;
  • Place orders through the system in conjunction with the planned production programme and operations;
  • Ensure the smooth running of procurement activities associated with projects;
  • Ensure that all materials are in the right place at the right time – taking a lead on ensuring deliveries and logistics are planned accordingly;
  • Attend projects meetings on a weekly basis to provide a clear, concise update on your area of work for each project.

Requirements:

  • Experience of using SAP or similar;
  • An eye for detail and efficiency;
  • Experience in a purchasing/procurement role in a manufacturing/engineering/construction environment;
  • Positive can do attitude and ability to work on own initiative;
  • Ability to work to project deadlines, understanding urgency and changing customer needs;
  • Strong project management skills (Ideally Prince 2 or PMP qualified);
  • Ability to negotiate and build relationships with multiple stakeholders (including suppliers and customers);
  • Experience of working in a fast paced,project based environment.
