Senior Architect

The Senior Architect selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques used to complete projects. Responsible for minor or small architectural projects. Being a Senior Architect may supervise and guide the work of lower-level architects. Prepares reports and specifications as requested. In addition, Senior Architect typically requires the use of more advanced techniques. Requires a bachelor’s degree of architecture. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires a state architect’s license. Being a Senior Architect contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Working as a Senior Architect typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management;

  • Liaise directly with clients / contractors;
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members;
  • Design concepts;

Requirements:

  • ARB registered Architect (or equivalent);
  • Strong understanding of UK planning and building regulations;
  • Experience working on Hospitality or Food+Beverage projects would be a bonus;
  • Ideally proficient user of Vectorworks;
  • ARB Certification;
  • Experience working on Aviation/Rail Projects is an essential;
  • Profound knowledge on specific technologies and methods within modern system development;
  • Ability to provide deliverables on time and of agreed quality;
  • Masters of Engineering, Computer Scientists or similar Master’s degrees;
  • Ability to guide and share knowledge with project participants within one’s own core area, on several projects simultaneously;
  • Possessing the main technical core competence, within a core area, when projects are initiated;
  • Ability to perform technical quality assurance and reviews on several smaller projects or outlined areas within larger projects;
  • Ability to manage the “build and fix” team on smaller projects or outlined areas on larger projects;
  • Ability to accurately estimate tasks and issues for the team;
  • ARB registered Architect.
