Pipefitters , sometimes simply called fitters , install and maintain pipes that carry chemicals, acids, and gases. These pipes are used mostly in manufacturing, commercial, and industrial settings. Fitters install and repair pipe systems in power plants, as well as heating and cooling systems in large office buildings. Some pipefitters specialize as gasfitters, sprinklerfitters, or steamfitters.

Our company is looking for a Pipefitter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing, supervising and training of site personnel including trainees and apprentices;
- Carbon pipework;
- Participation in our Emergency Call Out service;
- HDPE Fusion pipework;
- working within a similar environment;
- To identify and implement improvements to any aspect of the service that we provide;
- Regular use of our computer systems and other software packages;
- All aspects associated with a qualified Commercial Pipefitting Engineer with proven experience of;
- Stainless steel;
- Reading drawings;
- Ensure that acceptable levels of customer care are provided at all times;
- Knowledge/understanding of the contract design and construction drawings;
- Attendance of regular site meetings;
- Enforcing and monitoring Health & Safety practices on site;
- To provide cover for other associated staff during times of absence.
Requirements:
- Proactive and self-motivated;
- Experience of working within a similar environment;
- Participation in an Emergency Call Out service is essential;
- JIB, PHMES, CSCS Card;
- Competent IT skills;
- Willing to travel on a daily basis, to stay away overnight or work away as required for the needs of the business;
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance;
- Current commercial gas qualifications;
- Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and be an active part in the team;
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (Pipefitting) or equivalent;
- Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS);
- IOSH Managing/Working Safely.
